Bob & Willa Freelend have both made a profound impact on Merrick County. To honor their impact and preserve their legacy, the family of Bob & Willa have two funds set up at Merrick Foundation:

Bob & Willa Freelend Memorial Flower Garden

There will be a new memorial garden located within Central City. The Freelend family is working out the details with the City of Central City.  More information is coming soon.

Willa Freelend, Women in Business Scholarship

The Willa Freelend, Women in Business Scholarship is awarded annually to a senior or college student that is a graduate of Central City High School. This scholarship will be given to a female student who has demonstrated community service and good citizenship qualities. This applicant must be pursing either a 2 or 4 year degree in business related studies.

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
